It’s so great to have a digital camera during the holidays! So I say, anyhow. My family and friends probably disagree, as this means me being seriously photo- and video- happy and then making it public to the world on this blog. I hope they forgive my enthusiasm for sharing these moments with all of you.

We had an intimate Christmas dinner for my dad, Lorraine, Kyle, and my grandmother (“lola” in Filipino) a week before we headed to Winnipeg for a white Christmas.

Kurt opening our gift from Dad:

We arrived in Winnipeg late on December 23rd, after a scary, bumpy ride over the Rockies. Poor Kurt’s hand is probably a wreck from the way I squeezed it to death (consider it good practice for childbirth). We had a terrific several days of caroling, eating yummy homemade treats, and enjoying the company of friends and family. We missed Melissa terribly as she spent the holidays in New Zealand, but she was in our thoughts always. Hopefully she will enjoy this video of her brothers and their annual wrestling matches.

Twins vs. Kurt:

Boxing Day was celebrated by our usual brunch at Blair & Ryan’s house. It is always a pleasure to see the kids (Emma, Sadie, and Finn) again, and to spectate the annual road hockey game in the street.

Later that night at Jonny & Jane’s, Jane made the unfortunate mistake of introducing me to Karaoke Revolution for the PS2. Needless to say, we whipped out the old Playstation and tried our hands at duets and sing-offs well into the wee hours of the night. Here are some video highlights!

The following day was our surprise wedding shower thrown by the Hamiltons and the extended family, over at Patty & Don’s house. Their new addition to the back of the house is looking good so far…can’t wait to see it next year. Here are a few glimpses into the event:

Those were all the videos from the holidays…now for the photos (below). Hope all of you had a joyous and happy Christmas and best wishes to you all for the new year!
