I’ve wanted to skip out of most of the birthday parties I’ve had. Not that it’s ever happened, but I sure was tempted. How come? Because I’d rather be dancing. Karaoke-ing. Watching a chick flick. Eating at an expensive restaurant. Generally, things that my friends don’t want to do, for me on one day of the year. And since only thing I had ever really wanted on my birthday was to see my friends and catch up on things, the party plans get compromised by wanting to have my friends there. We go for a dinner at some generic restaurant or at my apartment, followed by generic dancing at a generic club.
Now that I’ll be 25, and possibly less needy of mass approval, there’ll be no compromise. I’m going salsa dancing! With a stop at my favourite Filipino restaurant called Josephine’s for dinner. Dinner probably at 7ish. Invitation’s open to anyone interested in trying out salsa dancing or Filipino cuisine. Give me a call, email, or a comment to this post. I’d really love to see you there, enjoying some new experiences with me.
