Thanksgiving long weekend was a great way to end the 2 weeks of crunch time. My family got together on Sunday afternoon and a good time was had by all. As usual, the uncles and aunts brought all their musical instruments and had a jam session in the basement. And I don’t mean drums of Tupperware and a banjo. My uncle brought his fire engine red drum set; other uncles brought their bass and electric guitars; my Uncle Jun returned home to retrieve an amplifier or two; plus the keyboard and mikes. Having focussed on salsa and swing dancing after high school, my vocal abilities are now extremely rusty…so (fortunately) I decided not to sing along.
On Friday, Kurt and I hung out with ex-AIESECers of our age, thanks to Serey arranging a reunion of all the AIESEC SFU execs of 2000-2002. It was nice to hang out with the old gang again and find out what everyone has been up to. We even got to get a little dancing in at Shine. It was a lot of fun…hope we see those guys again soon.
Now to end with a couple random thoughts…
An actor on Mysterious Ways really looks like my Winnipeg salsa buddy, Jordon. It’s a show on the W Network, if you dancers in Winnipeg wanna check it out.
Whipped cream should be considered a dessert in and of itself.

That’s cool that your family can jam like that. About the only music that comes from my family is church hymns.Did you catch any of the Vancouver lindy exchange this past weekend?~Surreal

About the Lindy exchange…No, I didn’t. School has been so hectic that I haven’t even gone dancing ONCE since Kurt and I moved back. No salsa, no swing (sob)Hopefully that’ll change at the end of the month. It’ll be the big 2-5 so I want to celebrate it dancing!

Well I hope you have a good two-five. Most people forgot mine, and then I got caught in the rain while out for a walk
/Say, isn’t Melissa out near you this week? You girls should hit the salsa clubs.~Surreal
